Year 2 have been looking at the differences between offspring and adults in their Science lesson. Today, they worked scientifically by measuring various body parts like their head, foot and arm and compared them with the measurements of an adult. They looked for patterns and noticed that a child's measurements were generally smaller than an adults, although some Year 6 children have feet the same size or bigger than their teacher's! The children concluded that adults are generally taller and bigger than a child because they have grown over time. They discussed how they have grown since they were born and what they think will happen to them as they get older.
