Inclusion at London Fields

London Fields creates a positive and inclusive environment which allows all pupils to thrive without exception. We recognise the benefits that pupil diversity can bring to the learning experience for all.

 

We are passionate about education and work hard to give our children experiences which provide them with a fantastic start in life and ensure they develop high aspirations for their future. We feel very privileged to work in such a vibrant and dynamic community as we recognise that the engagement of all stakeholders, Hackney Education, governors, staff, children and families, is vital to a successful school. In essence, we feel our school is a place where all children, staff and families are valued and all work together to ensure that children are challenged academically, inspired creatively and supported and fostered in their emotional development. With the correct balance, our pupils develop the self respect and self esteem they need to succeed in life.

Universal Systems at London Fields

At London Fields we have systems in place across all year groups, adapted appropriately to each age level, that ensure our culture is as inclusive as possible. These systems have been designed to be autism and trauma informed as well as building a whole school identity. The rationale behind this is that it ensures consistency of approach across all classes which allows for smoother transitions between year groups, builds emotional security, and reduces cognitive load on all of our pupils which gives them more capacity for learning.
