Year 5 perform their amazing samba rhythms
During Music week, Year 5 have been learning all about Samba. Samba comes from Brazil and is heard at parties, festivals and at carnivals. It's special because it has a strong pulse with multiple rhythms being played on top. Each instrument plays a different rhythm! We created a whole class samba band by working in groups to learn a rhythm. Na'Sharn then gave us a strong pulse which helped us to stay in time. The Year 6's were amazed - we could see them moving their bodies to the beat!
