Radical landscapes at the William Morris gallery>9 February 2024 (by adorman) |
Year 6 had a wonderful and engaging workshop at the William Morris gallery for their art unit. The children revisited William Morris an artist they have previously studied in both Year 1 and 2. The children then considered why there were so many landscape portraits before the 1800's using their history knowledge they were able to determine it was the introduction of photography in the 1800's that had an impact on society. They were also able to revisit their geography skills as they created a map with icons of their day.
