Our inspiration for writing today came from learning about the invention of the elephant clock, made by Ismail al-Jazari in our R.E. topic on The Golden Age of Islam.
Today, in our Creative Writing ,our inspiration came from our topic in R.E. learning about "The Golden Age of Islam." We had learned about many inventions, which still are used today or have been adapted for today's world. We loved learning about the elephant clock, how it was made, how it worked and about its inventor, Ismail al-Jazari. Inspired by him, we went on to create new inventions and then we wrote instructions (using imperative verbs, time connectives and appropriate adverbs) either for how to make the invention or how to use it.
