This term, our History topic is The Ancient Egyptian Empire. We developed our knowledge about techniques, settlements and beliefs. This week, we got better at deciphering hieroglyphs. Yesterday, we made our own sarcophagus and mummy. We learned about the gross stages of embalming a mummy so that it is preserved, we then demonstrated our understanding of hieroglyphs and Egyptian symbolism by decorating our sarcophagus using important messages and images that are guaranteed to help our mummies enter the Afterlife!
