Today, Year 4 started our new multiplication and division unit in Maths. We began the unit by reminding ourselves exactly what multiplication is. We used manipulatives to create equal groups and arrays, and used mathematical language to describe what we had made. We then discussed how division is the inverse of multiplication and made posters showing fact families.
