Year Four were delighted to take part in their first workshop with Apollo Music this week. Building upon our knowledge of the orchestra that we were introduced to in Year Three, the Apollo Music musicians will be developing our understanding of each section of the orchestra. We were first introduced to the strings and thought about how mood and feelings was created in the way in which the instruments were played. This included changing pitch, tempo and dynamics. Listening to a variety of pieces being performed, we thought the compositions showed an argument between a friends, a rainbow forming after an afternoon of rain and even someone performing a prank!
