This week, Reception pupils have been learning about influential Black female artists in recognition of Black History Month. First we learned about Alma Thomas then created our own abstract paintings inspired by her work. We then learned about Althea McNish, an iconic British, Trinidad-born textiles designer before working collaboratively to create our own patterned fabric.
