A group of Y6 children took part in the Hackney Schools' Challenge today on Hackney Marshes. The event was attended by hundreds and hundreds of children from schools across the borough. The children have been training for months in preparation to complete a one mile run, which when added to the other runs they have previously completed at school meant that they had covered a distance of 13.1 miles- a Half Marathon! All of the children did brilliantly! They celebrated afterwards with their well-deserved medals! A big thank you to all of the parents who supported us on our run- you helped us get across the finishing line!
