We made our very own cam mechanism toy!
By the end of the unit we were fluent and knew that a cam and follower mechanism can turn rotary motion into linear reciprocating motion. As the cam rotates, the follower rises and falls in a process known as linear reciprocating motion.
We used different cams to make our toy rise, dwell or drop. Check out our final designs!
