This week the focus in our Maths carpet session is on repeating patterns. The children are learning to identify the unit of repeat in a pattern, continue and make their own patterns.
Today, the children used their knowledge of patterns to make fruit kebabs. They selected three pieces of fruit for their unit of repeat, then continued the pattern, carefully choosing the right fruit to go in the right order on their skewers.
And, of course, they enjoyed the fruits of their labour at the end!
