This week, in Year 6, we are designing and making aerial tramways.
We have been inspired by Augusto Ferreira Ramos, who designed the first aerial tramway in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Some of us are hoping to replicate the slanting cable car moving from mountain to mountain (rather than simply moving horizontally). It's tricky - you can see the beginnings of one of our attempts in the photo!
