At the beginning of the term, year 5 put their scientists hats on and conducted fair tests to learn more about our first Science topic: Earth and Space!
We had a few interesting weeks of Science at the beginning of the term. Children in year 5 enjoyed learning about the solar system, the planets and making comparisons between the planets in size and distance from the sun. They also learnt about the heliocentric and geocentric theories and the scientists that supported both. We now understand that scientific ideas can change over time!
