Each term, children from Y3-Y6 have time to meet individually with their teacher and reflect on their English Curriculum learning. Together, they look at the child's Literacy, Creative Writing and Handwriting Book and talk about sessions such as Class Reader, Book Club and Home Reading. Children get to share with their teacher: what their favourite text has been for the term, which piece of writing they were most proud of and where they have applied their knowledge learnt in English. They also have time to think about what can be done to ensure further progress next term. The English Conferences are a really lovely time where teachers can say a big and personalised well done to individuals and children can take time to be proud of their achievements.
