Year 3 have been exploring levers during DT week.
This week, children in Year 3 have been developing their understanding of lever mechanisms to help them design and create a litter picker. After exploring how levers work and taking inspiration from existing designs, here they are deciding where their fulcrum (pivot) should be positioned to make sure their litter pickers work effectively. With a little help from Miguel to drill the holes, our levers are beginning to take shape. Our next step is to put them to the test!
