Children from Reception to Year 2 are taking part in a national programme this year, called Mastering Number, in partnership with the NCETM.
Children from Reception to Year 2 are taking part in a national programme this year, along with 4000 other primary schools across the country, in partnership with Maths Hubs and the NCETM.
The project aims to secure firm foundations in the development of good number sense for all children from Reception through to Year 1 and Year 2. Everyday, the children have a mastering number session. This week, they have started using rekenreks to explore the composition of small numbers.
