This week, EYFS have been getting creative while learning all about Diwali, the festival of lights. They thoroughly enjoyed using stencils to make Rangoli patterns with chalks and paints. Nursery, produced their very own clay Rangoli patterns and Reception had lots of fun making large ones on tuff trays out of colourful lentils and chickpeas. The children also listened to the story of Rama and Sita; learnt about the delicious food eaten during Diwali and were introduced to dija lamps which, enabled them to make links with other familiar festivals.
