EYFS have enjoyed learning about gender equality this week. We sorted toys and clothes into which ones were suitable for boys, which were for girls and which were for boys and girls.
We quickly agreed that in fact all of the toys and clothes were for everyone and that all of us (boys and girls) enjoy wearing and playing with lots of the same things.
Later in the week we explored the theme of jobs and discussed how there is no such thing as 'boy jobs' and 'girl jobs'. We discussed what jobs we could all do and even got to dress up and role played firefighters, vets, builders etc.
