We have signed up to the Wildlife Trust's 30 Days Of Wild to get even more inspiration for small outdoor activities that could further develop the children's interest in and care for their natural environment. So far, we've tried out listening blindfolded for wild sounds- a very tricky undertaking considering the amount of urban noise, but we heard bees buzzing in the lavender and a bird from a little further afield. We also read a wild book - Wild, our Book of the Week - outside. And tried to find something blue. And decorated pebbles, shells and tree discs. Independently, the children continue to explore the changes in the garden and look out for minibeasts and flowers.
