The children in EYFS took inspiration from Tawny Chatmon's Redemption series, which sees the artist celebrating her photographic portraits of people by embellishing them with paint and gold leaf - with a particular focus on the hair and clothing. The children embellished their own portraits in celebration of themselves using a variety of materials such as pens, beads and gold and silver leaf in a similar style to Chatmon. They showed great attention to detail and as a result produced beautiful pieces of work.
