Launchpad for Language

 London Fields has invested in an exciting speech and language package for our Early Years known as Launchpad for Language. 

Launchpad for Language is a programme provided by Speech and Language Therapists for our Reception pupils to support their speech, language and communication skills. We are supported weekly by our allocated Speech and Language Therapist, who delivers both whole class and small group sessions, with the help of Alan the Alien!

The programme works with children, staff and parents to support all children to reach their communication potential, with a particular emphasis on those with greater language needs.

The ability to use and understand language underpins all social interactions and many, many learning opportunities. It is also a significant factor in a child’s emotional well being. By promoting the communication skills of young children we can make a huge difference to their ability to make and maintain relationships, achieve in school and later in the work place and most importantly to their happiness.
