After the October half term Nursery and Reception will be starting Forest School sessions every Friday. In order for the sessions to run successfully it is important that all children wear the appropriate clothing and that it is all labelled with your child’s name.
- Pair of wellies and snow boots
- Water proof trousers
- Water proof jacket
- Wool socks
This should be in a rucksack that is again labelled with your child’s name. The rucksack would ideally have a clip that does up from each strap across the child’s chest; this makes carrying their lunch in their rucksack much easier.
A good lunch would contain:
- Piece of fruit
- Some savoury snacks
These should all be in reusable containers and as little disposable plastic as possible please.
It is important that all children have a set of spare clothes in their rucksack so that we can change them if they have a toilet accident or get wet with water. Again these should all be labelled with your child’s name.
They will need:
We rely heavily on our parents to come and help and cannot go without the correct ratio of adults to children (1:4). Parents with younger children are welcome to come and help, it will just mean we give you less children e.g two instead of four. Grandparents, aunties and uncles are all welcome. There will be some forms to fill in and some ID needed but once set up you can help every week or once over the year depending on your availability. It is a great day to share with your child and with the EYFS team. Please come as much as you can so your child can benefit from this great provision. You will be emailed each week with a request to book in.
