Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!

This week, the eco-protectors organised sessions for Year 3 and 4 to learn all about the importance of recycling. We had visitors from Eco-Active, a Hackney based charity, who got us thinking about what we can do as a school to reduce our consumption and recycle things to give them another life. They showed us how we can make our very own paper by mulching up paper scraps that would have otherwise ended up in the landfill. We also started to think about an action plan for the school and considered the changes we could make to help our environment. We particularly liked the idea of getting a reusable water bottle, rather than using a plastic bottle every day.

Have a look at some of the photos of our workshop in action.
