Year One get digital!
Year One spent art week discovering how to take the perfect portrait using a digital camera. After studying some amazing portrait paintings and photographs from the past, they planned their own portrait photo and directed each other to ensure the perfect shot!
We looked at some incredible photographers who inspired us to think about how we would like our own portrait. Nan Goldin, Annie Leibovitz and Steve McCurry were just some of the artists we looked at. When it came to planning our own portrait we had to think about a number of things. We felt that the location of the portrait would be important. Some of us choose to use our outdoor areas to get that perfect lighting. Others choose different parts of the school to take a photo that truly represented them. Each portrait is different, unique and special!
